Here's a warmup exercise I've loved doing for years now, usually I draw random shape outlines without looking and fill in the shape with whatever I can fit inside. Lately though I've been laying down random swatches of watercolor pigments and filling them in the same way, but with the colors its a lot more fun because the random patches and tones within each shape make filling in the blobs with details a bit more exciting than a blank white pencil outline.
These shapes in particular were filled in with Ink and nibs, the corresponding nib is next to each shape, except the bottom right which is a Hunt Silverine x-98 (me likey).
Feel free to take the shapes at left and fill them in yourself! Just be sure to share it with me so i can take a looksee.
More like this to come, maybe..
